How it started:

 

 Hello, this is Shampa. I am an amateur home baker, still attempting perfection. I make mistakes like all of us, but learn from them and move on.

 

 After coming to UK, I was wondering what I could do from home that would give me a sense of satisfaction.

 And then, one day it was the birthday of my friend's daughter and they couldn’t find a barbie doll cake anywhere. The little birthday girl was very excited to have a barbie doll cake for her party.

​

 It was almost the party time. I felt very sad for that cutie and so I decided to bake a quick cake. I brought my vision to life; I grabbed a doll from her toy basket and made a perfect doll cake for her. I used my ideas to make the cake. All the guests commented on how amazing the decoration and the taste was and that boosted my confidence. After that the journey started... 

 

My other friends stated asking me to bake cakes for their various occasions. My baking skills started to spread through word of mouth.

And that is how I became a home maker to a home baker.

​

I always value the quality of the ingredients because the taste depends on it.

​

This inspired me to attend  many baking and decorating courses from well-recognised baking schools in UK to enhance my baking skills.

​

I believe I am a creative person, since my childhood I love painting, making things with recycled materials, clay models and other arts and crafts.

​

I also decorate party venues with my own creative touch.

I am a public liability insurance holder and have completed my food hygiene course and I am registered with the local council and Inland Revenue.
